We have seen the launch of iPhone 7 affected thousands of people worldwide and it will not fail to do so for a long time. Recently we saw Apple’s Biggest fan who sat in the rain for 18 hours to buy the new iPhone 7.
The removal of the headphone jack technology might increase the phone’s lifespan, but users are having a difficult time to cope with the wireless technology. Users are worried about losing those little wireless earbuds.
A Youtube Video has been circling on the internet which captioned “Secret Hack to Get Headphone Jack on the iPhone 7” which is actually a fake video. The video actually tricked iPhone 7 users into believing that drilling hole into their Phones will make them insert 3.5mm headphone jacks.
The video is been uploaded by TechRax and video had already created lots of problems for iPhone 7 users. The video description reads “This video is for those who don’t want to get $159 wireless AirPods or have to insert your headphones into an adapter every time you listen to music”
The video tells iPhone users to drill their precious iPhone 7 to create a hole for inserting the 3.5mm headphone jack into it and the man in the video also proudly declared “And just like that, you have your own 3.5 mm headphone jack!”
Some of the iPhone owners have been so desperate for the old headphone technology that they ended up drilling their new iPhone 7 and some seem to be taking extreme measures to bring back the old hole. Here are some comments that the viral video received.
Furious James Ceja commented on the video: “I tried this and ended up with display destruction and it not working… I really committed the biggest mistake of my life by watching this video.”
David Iriarte added: “A friend of mine told me it worked for him, but my iPhone won’t turn on after I drilled the hole for the jack. I checked and it was the 3.5mm drill, so I made no mistake there! What happened? Any of you have the same problem?”
Toekneechair questioned: “Ok I am sure it’s in the comments somewhere but my friend told me to ask what size drill bit am I supposed to use?
Mark Johnson wrote “Since some people are still having issues, a bit of advice. The guy seems to have missed the part about cleaning the phone after drilling,”
It was not the initial time that iPhone owners have been fooled by fake hacks. You might remember the video which showed how to “recharge” you phone by placing it in a microwave. Also when iPhone users were tricked into believing that iOS 7 would make their phones waterproof!
