Google Fixes Two Extremely Serious Android Security Flaws

The latest Security updates of Google bring Android users fixes for the problems that are discovered. As they are released the monthly security patch to ensure regular updates. On the last week, the arrival of the latest update brought the patches for the two new security flaws in Android, with a high level of severity.
These two new flaws are already corrected and were included in the latest update of Android, which Google began this week to send to your device. Any of these failures is considered serious and potentially dangerous for users who were exposed to problems.
One of them, which is similar to the well known Stagefright, allows running random code whenever an image is received in Gmail or Google Talk. All proceeds with malicious code that is placed in the EXIF and opens the door to make the device vulnerable. This is a simple failure to exploit by the attackers.
The second fault is also corrected and it is also considered as severe, as it allows to run arbitrary code through which attacker obtain the root access of the device in a simple way. Being a simple failure to find and explore, it was quickly resolved. Google said that this failure existed for research purposes and that required some changes to be explored.
But beyond these corrections applied on Android, it was also revealed that the Play Store has been used to propagate applications that contain malware. With thousands of installations, these applications could divert smartphones for access to specific websites and advertising that returning the profits to attackers. In some cases, smartphones came to make calls to premium rate numbers, where once again the attackers obtained profits.
It is unlikely to have installed these applications, but it proved once again that the control of which is placed in the Play Store should be tighter and that Google has to validate the applications available.
Again it will be the Nexus to receive this update first and to see the resolved security issues. But, for the rest of others, this update will arrive soon with updates of brands, even for many others, it will eventually be prepared.
