IBM Watson Created The First Ever AI-Made Movie Trailer
IBM’s artificial intelligence system Watson has now gained a new ability, yes, though it sounds a little common but actually what he learned is really interesting and unique skill at least for an AI. Watson has learned to edit movie trailers.
Earlier this week, the 20th Century Fox handed Watson the task of creating a trailer for a new science fiction movie which is dubbed as “Morgan”. Watson is the first artificial intelligence system to produce a film trailer. Even the new science fiction movie which is dubbed as “Morgan” will also hold it’s trailer that is actually created by an AI, known as Watson.
To get to the end and best result, IBM researchers fed Watson with 100 trailers of horror movies. These were separated into moments and scenes. So, the computer was able to analyze the sound composition data, visual effects, and other factors to get an idea of the dynamics of a trailer.
When Watson finished processing the movie Morgan, he isolated 10 scenes total of six minutes of video and took only 24 hours to do it. When comparing with the work of a human editor who sewing scenes and tells a coherent story, it would take 10 to 30 days to deliver the work and it is a major breakthrough. Yes, now it sounds really crazy, as now it also proves that how enough an AI could be really intelligent and fast as well as strong.
