According to a new study, with thousands of Android models on the market, in the case of American teenagers, the Apple brand devices are increasingly preferred.
Having a smartphone these days is something that just happens from (more or less) 10 years. Besides allowing always be contactable, users also have a leisure and entertainment device. Let’s get to know the results of this study.
The iPhone has always been one of the most coveted smartphone segment of mobile devices. Although expensive compared to other devices, the Apple phone always managed to stand out for its simplicity, durability, and social status.
Interest in the iPhone grew 2%
According to information reported by PhoneArena site, a study conducted by Piper Jaffray “In April, 75% of the teens surveyed said that their next handset would be an Apple iPhone. The October survey showed that figure rising to 79%. The percentage of teens that currently own an iPhone rose from 69% in the previous survey to 74% in the latest one. Things being what they are in the industry, we can assume that 21% of the teens will make an Android device their next handset and that 26% currently own an Android-powered phone”. However, the average age of respondents was 16 years.
Compared to the latest results, 75% of 6,500 respondents said they had ideas to purchase an iPhone as their next smartphone.
Another interesting result has to do with social networks, and Snapchat completely dominates among younger. The following is Instagram with 24%, followed by social network Twitter and Facebook with 13%.
